거시와 미시 상태의 물성적 특성을 살피고, 양자역학의 기초적인 부분을 다룬다. 반도체의 제반 물리 이론을 이해하기 위해 전자적 구조의 기초를 학습하고, 반도체 내의 전달매체인 전자와 홀의 개념, 반도체의 전기 전도, pn 접합 및 pn 접합 다이오드의 작동원리를 습득한다.

The lecture introduces a basic theory of quantum mechanics. Fundamental properties of solid state such as the crystal structure, bonding mechanism, and electrical properties are studied. The study of basic electronic structures in carried out to understand the fundamental physical theories of semiconductor. The concepts of charge carriers in semiconductor and conductivity properties are covered to deal with operational theories of the pn junction, pn junction diode.
