응용역학, 구조역학, 토질역학, 암반역학 등 토목의 근간을 이루는 모든 역학의 기본을 이해하기 위하여 자유물체도, 반력, 단면의 성질, 평형방정식, 적합방정식 등 정역학의 기본원리를 공부한다. 토목 전반의 역학을 이해할 수 있는 기본능력을 배양한다.

This course covers principles of rigid body motion, principles of statics, tension compression shear torsion, analysis of stress and strain, strength of material, stress in beams, deflection in beams, linear and nonlinear material behavior.
