본 교과목은 전산학, 수학, 통계학 등의 지식을 활용하여 생체 시스템에서 생산된 데이터로부터 새로운 지식을 도출해내는 방법 및 소프트웨어를 개발하는 학문 분야인 생물정보학의 전반적인 분야를 소개한다. 또한 실습을 통해 구체적인 생물정보학의 응용 사례들을 학습한다.

This course introduces the overall field of bioinformatics, an academic field that develops methods and software to derive new knowledge from data produced in living systems using knowledge such as computer science, mathematics, and statistics. Additionally, students learn specific application cases of bioinformatics through hands-on practice.
