보험업의 겸업화, 세계화 추세 등에 따라 우리나라는 보험업을 생명보험업, 손해보험업, 제3보험업으로 분류하고 있다. 상해보험, 질병보험, 간병보험은 사람의 신체와 관련된 보험으로서 인보험과 손해보험으로 명확히 구분하기 어려운 점이 있어서 제3보험으로 구분하고 있다. 따라서 제3보험은 생명보험회사와 손해보험회사가 상호 겸영할 수 있다. 본 과목에서는 민영 건강보험 영역에 속하는 제3보험(상해, 질병, 간병보험)의 종류와 특성에 대한 기본적인 지식을 습득하는 것을 목표로 한다. 또한 리스크관리보험학과에서는 사람의 신체와 관련된 의학지식을 보다 효율적으로 교육하기 위해서, 동시에 간호학과에서는 민영 건강보험에 관한 보험지식을 교육하기 위해서 상호 융복합특성화 과목으로 운영한다.
교과목해설(영문)
The insurance Industry are classified as life insurance, non-life insurance and gray zone insurance. The gray zone insurance(health insurance) are classified also as accident insurance, sickness insurance, long-term care insurance. Health insurance is a fusion multi compound course between department of risk management, insurance and the department of nursing science. The purpose of this course is to provide students with an understanding of the theory of medical science and health insurance as well.
