연속적인 변화에 상관없이 존재하는 도형의 성질을 연구하는 위상수학은 현대수학의 본질적인 배경을 이루고 있다. 이 강좌에서는 위상공간의 정확한 개념과 위상에 대한 기저, 두 위상공간의 연속함수, 위상동형 및 위상공간에서의 특수한 공간, 즉 거리공간, 노름공간, 힐버트 공간 등 여러 공간들 사이의 기초적인 관계를 파악하게 한다.

General Topology 1 forms the essential background of modern mathematic as subject to study the properties of continuous change of shapes. In this course, we study the concept of topological space, the base for the topology, continuous functions, homeomorpic, metric space, normed space, hilbert space and topological invariant.
