This course is designed for students to gain a general overview of Japanese traditional culture, which is the foundation of philosophy, religion, art, entertainment, literature, aesthetics, folk culture, etc. Students first decide on themes and investigate the basic philosophy and its development in depth. Thus, they develop a wholistic understanding of Japanese culture.
