이 과목에서는 한국어 교육의 기본적인 이론과 교수 방법에 대해 다룬다. 발음 교육, 어휘 교육, 문법 교육, 표현 교육, 이해 교육, 문화 교육 등의 한국어 교수 방법을 익히고 한국어 평가와 한국어 교재 개발, 한국어 교사의 역할, 한국어 교육과정, 한국어 교육정책 등을 살펴봄으로써 한국어 교육에 대한 전반적인 이해를 도모한다.

This course was established to understand the basic concepts and features of Korean language education for those who are not native speakers. The identity of Korean language education, the principles of Korean language education, Korean language curriculum and textbooks, listening, speaking, reading. This course deals with the subdivisions of Korean language education at an introductory level, such as writing education, grammar education, phonology education, and vocabulary education.
