역사적으로 진화하고 변화 발전하는 우리말의 통시적 양상을 주제로 삼아 그 흐름을 이해하도록 하는 과목이다. 통시적 언어 양상에는 민족 정신의 궤적도 반영되어 있으므로 우리말의 변천 양상과 변천 과정을 고찰하는 동시에 정신사와의 관련성도 탐구해 본다. 아울러 현대 우리말의 어원을 추적함으로써 현재 우리가 쓰고 있는 국어의 역사적 실체를 확인해본다.
교과목해설(영문)
The topic for this course will be diachronic aspect of Korean language which has evolved historically. Since the diachronic linguistic aspect includes a track of national spirit, students will examine the path of transformation of Korean language and its relationship with spirituality. Also, students will track the origin of modern Korean and be sure of the historical nature of the language.
