정책학은 사회문제를 해결하기 위해 수립 및 집행되는 정부의 정책을 연구할 뿐만 아니라, 개선방안 등을 제한하는 학문이다. 따라서 정책학은 정책연구에 대한 기초, 정책결정, 집행, 평가 등의 정책과정, 정책과정의 직,간접적 참여자, 정책을 둘러싼 각종 환경, 그리고 정책의 내용과 효과 등을 연구의 대상으로 삼고있다. 본 과목에서는 정책학의 의의, 환경과의 상호작용, 정책과정의 공식적, 비공식적 참여자, 정책이론, 그리고 정책과정 등에 대해서 학습한다.
교과목해설(영문)
The study of policy sciences is interested in the policy processes, including agenda setting, decision-making and implementation of public policies. In addition, this study suggests some alternatives for improving the quality of societies and the public. The main issues of policy sciences are policy theories, processes and environments of public policy, formal and informal participants in the processes of policy, and the policy process. This class will discuss the meanings of policy sciences, the interaction with environments, participants affecting the policy processes, policy theories, and policy processes.
