국어교육의 이론적 관점에 대하여 개괄적으로 이해하는 것을 목표로 한다. 제도교육으로서의 국어교육을 구성하고 있는 다양한 체계들, 예를 들면 국어과 교육과정, 국어과 교재, 국어과 교수학습, 국어과 평가, 국어교육사 등에 대한 이해뿐만 아니라 국어교육의 하위 영역들 즉, 듣기, 말하기, 읽기, 쓰기, 문법 문학 교육에 대해서도 개괄적으로 이해하도록 한다.

The purpose is to comprehend about theoretical perspective of Korean language education generally. It would be generally comprehended various systems composed Korean language education as an institutional education, for example, not only Korean language arts curriculum, Korean textbook, Korean language assessment and the history of Korean language education etc but also subareas of Korean language education, that is, listening, speaking, reading, writing, grammar, and literature education.
