트렌드에 대한 이해는 새로운 가치를 발견해내는 통찰력과 바람직하고 영향력 있는 가치를 제안할 수 있는 능력을 함양시켜 준다.
본 수업에서는 소비 문화적 관점에서 미래생활을 이해하고, 근 미래의 강력한 소비트렌드 현상과 배경을 짚어본다. 패러다임을 끄는 원동력에 대한 탐색훈련은 트렌드를 '보는 눈'을 길러주고, 소비자의 라이프스타일을 연구함으로써 그들의 심리변화 및 변화의 동인을 밝혀내는 과정은 트렌드를 '읽는 방법' 뿐만 아니라 그와 연관된 디자인 산업의 흐름을 이해하게 한다.
또한 올바른 소비자의 윤리의식과 생산적 태도를 갖게 됨으로써 바람직한 문화조성에 일조하게 될 것이다.
교과목해설(영문)
We are living in an unpredictable and rapidly diversifying era, and the anxiety and curiosity about our future life are paving the way for an explosive demand for information regarding trends. The understanding of trends fosters the skill of proposing desirable and influential values and the insight that will enable the discovery of new values. This lecture will examine the strong phenomenon and background of the consumption trend of the modern future, and will foster the understanding of our future life from a consumption culture perspective. The explorative training of the driving force that leads to the formation of paradigms develops an “eye” for trends, and by studying consumers’ lifestyles, the process of revealing the causes of the psychological and physical changes occurring in consumers will foster the understanding not only of how to “read” trends but also of the flow of the related design industry. Furthermore, by developing a productive attitude and instilling ethical consciousness in the consumer, it will contribute to the desirable composition of culture.
