제품디자인에 대한 입문 과목으로서 생활제품과 관련된 단순한 제품을 디자인한다. 제품의 사용형태에 따른 사용자의 유형구분과 특성을 파악하여 새로운 제품 디자인 아이디어를 창출하고 발전시켜 나가는 과정에서 스스로 문제 해결 방법을 찾도록 지도하며, 기존의 고정관념에서 벗어나 더욱 진보된 디자인 개념을 중심으로 전개하도록 한다.
교과목해설(영문)
As an introductory course to product design, the students design simple life-related products. The students are guided to independently establish and utilize problem-solving methods in the process of coming up with new-product design ideas by apprehending the types and characteristics of users based on their product usage. The students are also guided in developing progressive design concepts by breaking away from the existing stereotypes.
