공학계열에 필요한 화학현상의 기본 이론과 법칙 등을 광범위하고 포괄적으로 강의한다. 필요한 이론과 법칙을 원리부터 접근하고 실험으로 직접 경험하여 화학에 대한 전반적인 분야의 사고 능력을 배양한다. 교과 내용은 화학의 기본 개념과 법칙, 원자의 구조 및 화학 결합의 양자 역학적 이해를 바탕으로 액체, 고체 및 분자간의 힘 등을 포함한다.

This lecture presents the basic theory and laws of chemical phenomena extensively and broadly. Especially the lecture materials are dedicated to the engineering field. The accompanying experiments will be helpful to the understanding of the basic theory, and the thinking-ability about chemistry.
The contents include the basic theory and laws of chemistry, atomic structure, chemical bonding, quantum mechanics, various microscopic forces between liquid, solid, and molecules.
