화학의 한 분야인 계산 화학을 이해하기 위한 기초적인 개념과 컴퓨터 기반 분자 디자인에 관련된 기본적인 원리를 배운다. 양자 역학 및 분자 역학에 기반한 모델링을 다루게 될 것이다. 또한 DNA나 단백질과 같은 생 분자 및 재료 물질 분자에 대한 분자 모델링에의 응용을 소개한다. 각 주제에 대한 강의와 함께 컴퓨터를 이용한 실습 시간을 갖는다.
교과목해설(영문)
This course focuses on learning the principles of computational chemistry and computer-aided molecular design. Both quantum mechanical and molecular mechanical modeling are covered. The applications to the materials and biomolecules are provided and therefore students will become familiar with the basic principles that govern the molecular recognition in biological complexes and the molecular design for functional materials. In addition to the lectures hand-on practical sessions will be provided.
