염료, 고분자 물질, 생체 구성 물질 및 의약품 등은 모두 유기 화합물에 속한다. 본 교과목은 이러한 유기화합물과 관련된 결합과 구조에 대한 개념과, 탄화수소 화합물을 중심으로 유기화학 반응과 입체화학에 대해 다룬다. 그리고 학습한 탄화수소의 구조와 반응에 대한 기본 개념을 확장하여 다양한 작용기를 가진 유기화합물과 그들의 반응에 응용해 본다.
교과목해설(영문)
The organic compounds include the bio-molecules, pharmaceutical drugs, and polymers. This course deals primarily with the basic principles to understand the structure and reactivity of organic compounds. It covers the basic concepts related to the chemical bonds and structures of the organic compounds, and organic chemical reactions and stereochemistry mainly with hydrocarbon compounds. These basic concepts on the structures and reactions of hydrocarbons will be applied to organic compounds with a variety of functional groups and their reactions.
