서양문명의 발상지인 이집트에서 시작된 의복의 기원에서부터 현대복까지의 변쳔과정을 역사적, 사회적, 문화적 측면에서 고찰해나가는 과정으로 문화의 특색이 복식에 미치는 영향을 탐색하고 현대사회의 우리의 감각과 실정에 맞는 의복디자인을 할 수 있도록 그 기초가 된다. 또한 현대의상을 문화적인 배경 및 예술양식의 변천과 함께 연구하며 유명디자이너의 작품들을 분석하여 현대복식에 대한 이해를 높이고 디자인 개발에 도움이 되도록 한다.

The main purpose of this class is to syudy the transition of western dress throughout ancient Egypt to the of Western culture and easthetic value. And this class is to study the transition of style of srt and cultural backgrounf of morden fashion and to analyze the works of famous fashion designers in order to elevate the understending of mordern fashion and help development in design.
