The 32nd Graduation Exhibition of Sangmyung University Ceramic Design Major was held from November 3rd (13:00-) to 8th (-18:00), 2022 at the gallery on the 1st floor of the Design Hall.

What is special about Ceramic Design Major at SMU?

Our ceramic design major was newly established in March 1988 and is the only department among domestic universities. Therefore, experts who will participate in the development of industrial ceramic design craftworks or engage in research have been produced. In the future, they will continue to contribute to design research in the field of New Ceramic Design by attempting new programs such as technology and experience accumulation through industry-academia collaboration research and cultivation of capacity for a mass production application.Sangmyung Univ. Details about the Ceramic Design 32nd graduation exhibition

A total of 30 ceramic design graduation works were exhibited, 10 each in product design, living design, and modeling/environmental design. The works ranged from crafts to sculptures. In addition, a small meeting room, an academic information support team, and a copy room were also located on this floor.

Choi Myung-joo (Senior, Ceramic Design Major), the chairperson of the Graduation Preparation Committee, said, “The process of creating another value by uniting the clay that contains life has become the path to growth for the future.” In addition, she conveyed her impressions of the exhibition, saying, “I am grateful to the professor who guided me with sincerity and dedication and to the classmates who went through the difficult process together.”

Here are some of the works that were submitted to the graduation exhibition. It would be really nice to have a close look at them together and feel the afterglow of the graduation exhibition.
