본 교과에서는 기계학습을 포함한 다양한 인공지능 알고리즘을 소개하고 이를 적용하는 방법들을 학습한다. 주 내용은 통계적인 분석방법을 통한 기계학습 기법과 신경망을 근간으로 하는 인공 신경망 및 딥러닝 알고리즘 등을 다룬다.
또한 통계 분석 또는 인공 지능을 활용한 빅데이터 처리에 대한 실습을 통해 관련 지식을 학습한다.
