한국연극사는 고전연극사와 현대연극사로 대별되는데 이강의는 고대 연희의 시발점에서부터 신극의 유입 시기까지 흐름을 시대별, 형태별로 파악하여 우리 고유의 연극미학을 바로보는 시각을 정립한다.
교과목해설(영문)
The history of Korean theatre can be divided into two periods, the classical and the modern. The History of Korean Theatre Ⅰ ranges from the ancient Korean theatre to the new-drama movement it is designed to defing the endemic vies on the aesthetics of Korean theatre by understanding its historic events categorized based on peridic and formal changes. The following course deals with the development of the modern theatre era in Korea.
Especilally, it focuses on the realism and its various aspects while researching the efforts to embody the notion of mordern theatre in Korean theatre.
