19세기 후반에 공식 수교관계를 맺은 한국과 프랑스는, 현재 정치, 경제, 사회, 문화 등 다양한 영역에서 날로 교류를 확대해나가고 있으며, 한국과 여타 프랑스어권 지역 국가들과의 교류도 증대하고 있다. 한국인으로서 프랑스지역 전문가가 되기 위해서, 그리고 전문가적인 지식을 직업으로 연결시키는데 있어서도 이에 대한 이해는 필수적이다. 한국과 프랑스에 대한 비교적 관점의 확보를 통해, 학문, 문화, 경제 등 다양한 직업분야에서 한국과 프랑스를 연결하는 전문가가 되기 위한 소양을 함양한다.

South Korea and France, which formed formal diplomatic ties in the late nineteenth century, are now expanding their exchanges in a variety of areas, including politics, economy, society, and culture, and are also expanding their exchanges with countries in the French language. An understanding of this is essential to become a Korean local expert and to connect professional knowledge to a career. By securing a comparative perspective on Korea and France, it develops the development of specialists to connect Korea with France in a variety of fields of occupations, including academics, culture and economy.
