영미소설을 읽으면서 영미사회를 이해하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 다양한 종류의 소설장르를 읽으면서 영미사회의 정치, 경제, 문화, 과학을 이해하게 된다. 수강생들은 또한 자세히 읽기를 통해 소설 속 장면에 함축된 의미를 파악하는 독해능력 또한 키우게 된다.
교과목해설(영문)
This course is designed to understand British and American societies through reading novels. Students will read different types of fiction to get the picture about politics, economics, culture, and science of British and American societies. Through close reading of novels, too, they will improve their reading capacities by comprehending the underlying meanings of diverse scenes in a novel.
