교과목해설
국제화 시대에 원활한 의사소통과 교류를 하려면 외국어 사용과 통역, 번역의 필요성은 절대적이다. 본 과정은 국제화시대에 필요한 언어적 소통과 그 중심에 서 있는 통역과 번역의 실질적인 요소를 학습하고 실습하는 과정이다. 통역과 번역의 역사적, 사회적 맥락을 통해 통역과 번역에 대한 이해를 제고하고, 통역과 번역이라는 전문 직업을 수행하는 데 필요한 준비, 자질, 능력을 실질적으로 탐구하고 기본적인 통역과 번역 연습을 한다.
교과목해설(영문)
The course aims to 1) introduce you to the fields of translation and interpretation, 2) study various modes and types of both interpretation and translation, and 3) explore both theoretical and practical components of both interpretation and translation
The course is mostly lecture-based with a short discussion on the selected topics relevant to the course purposes. Each lesson focuses on the assigned reading, issues related to the weekly topic, and others.
