박병천류 진도북춤은 한국 전통연희에서 활용되는 북가락과 춤사위를 재해석하고 신체적 기법과 무용예술적 미에 부합되도록 승화시켰다. 이것은 한국 20세기 근대 무대 형식의 무대예술 정착과 무용예술의 본보기적 역할을 하는 것으로 한국무용의 폭넓은 수용과 창안 그리고 전통의 계승을 잇고자 한다.

Park Byeong-cheon's Jindo Drum Dance reinterpreted the drumsticks and dance moves used in traditional Korean performances and sublimated them to conform to physical techniques and dance and artistic beauty. It serves as an exemplary role in the establishment of stage art and dance art in the 20th century of Korea's modern stage form, and aims to succeed the wide acceptance, creation and tradition of Korean dance.
