본 교과는 드레이핑을 통해 3차원적으로 컨셉을 개발하는 방법을 익힘으로써 디자인적 상상력을 고양하며, 실질적인 시제품으로 구현하기 위한 종합적 문제해결을 시도한다. 학생들은 다양한 스타일로 응용할 수 있는 베이직 드레이핑 기법을 익히고, 시제품화 될 수 있도록 머슬린 핏과 패턴을 보정하는 과정을 학습한다. 최종 결과물로서 자유 디자인을 드레이핑을 통해 프로토타입으로 구현하며, 머슬린과 페이퍼 패턴으로 구성된 포트폴리오를 제작한다.
교과목해설(영문)
This course aims to enlighten design creativity by using draping as a 3-dimensional method as well as representing a prototype. Students learn basic draping techniques in order to apply to various styles, and complete a 3-dimensional muslin pattern to be made into actual fabric through fitting and correction. The final project is to develop own design as the muslin-prototype on the basis of draping technique, and also proceed a portfolio consisted of both muslin & paper pattern.
