모든 생명체의 기능적, 구조적 기본 단위인 세포에 대하여 세포막과 수송기작, 유전체, 세포골격, 세포주기 조절기작, 유전자 신호전달, 세포내 대사과정 등을 학습한다. 또한 이들의 구조와 기능을 생화학 및 분자적 수준에서 이해한다. 이를 바탕으로 세포생물학 기본원리 뿐만 아니라 분자생물학, 유전학, 생리학 등의 연구에 필요한 기초지식을 습득하게 하는데 그 목적이 있다.

The cells are the basic building block of all living organisms, and their structures and functions are studied on the basis of the cell microstructure, chemical components, metabolic process of inner cells. The goal of this course is to teach fundamental cellular features that are related with molecular biology, genetics, and cell physiology.
